How do online music lessons work?

We teach our online music lessons via Zoom (https://zoom.us/).

You can either download Zoom as an app on your device or sign in on the web browser.
Before your first lesson we’ll send you a message with a ‘Meeting Link’ and Password. Using these details you’ll then be able to join a live virtual lesson with your teacher.

Are online music lessons effective?

We certainly think so!
We aim to teach in a way that allows us to be adaptable to student’s ability and musical interests too. Technology gives our teachers the opportunity to share content on a student’s screen (such as music sheets and exercises) or show a close up camera view of a more challenging part of a piece.

What equipment do I need?

We use Zoom for our online video lessons
(available for Mac / Windows / Android).

Students will need access to either a computer, tablet or smartphone with video facility to view the lesson
and to be visible to the tutor.
