… so we asked our guitar tutors for you and we came up with our top 3 recommendations!
The double humbucker bridge pickup certainly offers a boost when it comes to lead playing (something the standard Affinity Strat doesn’t have). It comes with a Tremolo bar as standard – however like most budget electrics you’ll probably spend as much time re-tuning vs actually playing if you actually choose to use it! Various colours and finishes are available.
As a brand Yamaha seem to always deliver options guitars (for both acoustic and electric) and for almost any budget too and the Pacifica is a great choice first electric guitar. We think it’s probably more suited to playing rock instead of blues or jazz.
Always a popular choice, versatile and easy to play. Made by Fender.
Pop, Blues, Jazz, Rock
3. Harley Benton SC-450 CB
Our wild card! It may be a less obvious choice but probably the best option in terms of overall build quality.
This model is clearly based on the iconic Gibson Les Paul body shape but Harley Benton do also make other models in a Stratocaster shape, SG etc …
Made by the giant German online music store Thomann.
